The base is home to the Canadian Forces Pacific Command and the Royal Canadian Navy's East Coast Fleet. It is also the location of the Comox Valley School of Military Engineering.
Located on the north coast of Vancouver Island, Canadian Forces Base Comox Campbell River is home to the Royal Canadian Military Police and 1 Combat Engineer Regiment. The base also houses the 3rd Canadian Division Support Group and the 5th Canadian Division Headquarters. The base has a population of around 5,000 military and civilian personnel.
